My time for reading is very limited as I am still downsizing from a move of a several years ago.
This isn't what I figured it to be. It's actually a highly technical treatment of cheese making techniques for a wide variety of cheeses. In other words, if you are not a professional intent on producing cheese, this is probably not for you. My thought before receiving it was that it was about appreciating cheeses, describing their usage, maybe some history and cultural context. That's not what I found it to be. I bought it as a make up item to get up to the threshold for free shipping, so no biggie.
I haven't gotten very far into this book yet, as I am getting my goats in the near future and haven't really gotten into cheese making yet. It looks like it is loaded with information. If you want the nitty-gritty of cheese this could be your book. Good price too.
